The Corporate Portrait

I think people generally consider the corporate portrait somewhat boring.... Uninteresting. Well, they are necessary. People what to "get to know" who they will be dealing with. Not only the CEO's of the Oracles and ENRON's need 'em, but especially with the presence of the small business on the web, the little guy needs 'em too. I did these for a small company my wife used to do work for. I thought I had a good concept for the ones of my wife. She worked on various things including trend consulting and design project. Now she works as an editor. All these tasks require being "up" on whats going on in the areas of fashion, design, pop culture, etc.... So, I thought I'd try and photograph here amongst stacks of magazines. It kinda worked.

The other photograph is of her co-worker. That was much harder. I showed up at her house. It was mid day, with raging bright sunlight. Only interesting ideas I could think of were, laptop in one hand, and kiddie toys in the other (she had a really cute little boy). But, they needed something preferably a little quirky and perhaps showed a little personality of the person. I guess I got a "nice" portrait in the backyard. Its OK, I guess.
